GET INVOLVED

What has it got to do with you?
It is the responsibility of each of us to maintain the environment and make it fit for the next generation. We can start by looking after our own local environment; it’s a beautiful area and probably one of the reasons you chose to live here. Do you want it to stay that way? The more members the society has, the greater its influence can be. Before the society was formed, the woodlands had become a dumping ground, with building rubble, garden rubbish and abandoned cars causing long term problems. It will be the same again if people don’t take care enough.

How can you Help
There are many ways you can help preserve out local woods and common areas, you could:
Become a member of the society: annual subscription is only £3 per household. For this you will get at least two newsletters a year and be kept up to date with what is going on in your area and you can vote at the AGM. You can also contribute, if you wish, to the Fighting Fund.
Join the committee; you don’t have to take on any specific responsibilities (unless you of course want to!)
Volunteer for practical work
Volunteer to distribute newsletters
Volunteer to collect annual Subscriptions
Offer any specialist skills you may have.
Our contact numbers are listed overleaf. Please don’t hesitate to call.
It's your environment. Help preserve and improve it for future generations. Don’t leave it to someone else. With your help we can make a difference.
